Some of the issues that a teenager may seek counseling for are:

  • Learning difficulties

  • Interpersonal relationships

  • Psychosomatic problems

  • Behavior (aggression, addictions, delinquency)

  • Sexuality

  • Eating disorders

  • Life challenges such as bereavement, loss, illness

  • Education and career issues

Adolescent Counseling aims to support the young person's transition from childhood to adulthood. The Counseling process accompanies the adolescent in understanding and acceptance of his diversity during this particular period, as essential condition of building his personal identity.

At the same time, it encourages the development of skills and abilities to solve issues and difficulties that often accompany this developmental period. Indicatively, these difficulties are identified at the level of relationships both with the family and with peers, at school and his wider educational context, in making decisions concerning his professional career.

Adolescent Counseling is always done with the consent of parents or guardians and begins with
a first contact between them and the Mental Health Specialist.
